Every Thursday, I attend a Weight Watchers meeting. The past few weeks we have be doing a food drive for the "Lose for Good Campaign." Tonight we were talking about a food bank here in Hagerstown. Someone from Food Resources came into the office and talked to our Thursday night leader, Lori. Whomever came in, asked where all the food we had gathered so far was going to, she told them, to Food Resources . The person from Food Resources was telling Lori, for the first time in awhile, they have bare shelves! It really hit home hard for me. The people from Food Resources are coming early to pick up the food we have now so they can stock some of their shelves.

I have a favor to ask of you. To send me non-perishable foods. Cans, boxes, pasta, whatever you have in your pantry you don't mind getting rid of. There are only a few rules: 1) Nothing glass, 2) Nothing expired, & 3) Nothing dented. Food banks in MD cannot take this food due to regulations.

I will be taking the food with me to Weight Watchers while the campaign is still going on.Once it ends,I will personally take any food items sent to Food Resources.I do not remember the exact date this all will end,but will be posting more info soon.

If you would rather donate money instead of food for me to go out and buy food that is okay as well.

I ordered box tape on Amazon the other day. The deal was 4rolls for 3something plus 4 something shipping, it came out to little under $8. So i get my package today, (thank you mail lady for not taking the day off for flooding). Well when i get my box and open it, it says leave us 5 star feedback blah, blah , blah, and 1 roll of tape! why would i pay $7 for 1 roll of tape! Needless to say, i emailed them and still no reply.

What is the most unique personal item on your desk? Why do you have it? What does it say about you?

I'm sitting here looking around my desk looking at all the things on here. Paper, pencils, lamp, Bagel chips, webcam, Flamingo, and my MP3Player. The most unique personal item on my desk is my Flamingos. There is some correlation with Maryland Motorcyclists and Flamingos and back in 2004 my uncle who was huge Biker type guy passed away. Ever since then I've collected flamingo items from all over the place.

When i first received my bottles of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce in the mail, i took off the cap shook it up, ripped off the seal, stuck my finger in the bottle, and tasted it. To my surprise it was sweet, tany, spicy and just amazing; all at the same time! My brother, a family friend and myself were out back grilling at the time the sauce arrived. Once the burgers were done i poured a big glob on to my burger and took a big bite! It was delicious! It's almost like a BBQ sauce meets A1 sauce taste. My family friend who was over never try's anything and when she tried it you could see how much she loved it on her face! This past Sunday was Father's day, with my Dad being a chef i gave him my second bottle of Country Bob's as a present. He used it as a marinade for chicken last night and was so flavorful everyone went back for seconds(some went back for 3rds!) Yesterday i was out back with my brother and Caitlin grilling and the UPS man knocked on my door and delivered me a package or Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce , I know Country Bob's company is a big believer in Christ. There's this site that sells christian clothing, c28.com and there was a shirt that says sinner on it in big letters with a bible verse under it, i kept looking at shirt saying how awesome it is, how much i love it, i was going to order it yesterday and for some reason i kept going back and looking at the shirt, just kept looking at it and staring at it. So as i sat there staring at it, i finally realized why! the reason was because I'm not a sinner! I'm saved! I sin, but I'm not a sinner! Jesus died on the cross for me so i could still sin, and go to heaven. Many people take this as well because you sin, your a sinner. So i explain it to them this way, because you and i play baseball in the back yard, it doesn't make you a baseball player! Once i realized God spoke to me it feel amazing inside, like a feeling i couldn't explain. I always knew that there was a God, that he existed at some point, but that was about it. I go to church, worship and bible study, but never really got anything out of it. I never knew there was a God still out there! I needed some kind of proof! I pray and talk to God, study the word but that was about all i got out of it. God never really spoke to me. When i realized he did, it just made me feel amazing!

ways to help plan meals is when you shop figure out how many meals you have bought, how many meals can you make out of a package of chicken or beef. then when your shopping see what goes with it. see if you can add twists to things. One of my favorite foods to make is HOMEMADE PIZZA! im sure anyone reading this is thinking i'm crazy because pizza normally take forever to rise, there is a new yeast out that is just for pizza, including letting the dough rise and baking it takes 20-30min! Add crushed tomatoes or any tomatoes sauce to the crust, i add garlic powered and oregano and then cheese! you can add any toppings you want! The whole pizza total maybe costs $5 and you can maybe buy a frozen pizza for that but you know this is good for you, you know what goes into it and can customize it to your tastes!

Well, there's a lot of reasons. I mean, roses only last a couple of weeks. And that's if you leave them in water. And they only really exist to be pretty. That's like saying, 'My love for you is transitory and based solely on your appearance.' But a potato! Potatoes last for fucking forever, man. In fact, not only will they not rot, they actually grow shit even if you just leave them in the sack. That part alone makes it a good symbol. But there's more! And potatoes may be ugly, but they're still awesome. So that's like saying, 'It doesn't matter at all what you look like, I'll still love you.'"

So my mind begins to wander when I work graveyard and don't get enough sleep...freezing while waiting for the bus...etc...my thoughts last night...

It’s a lonely word it has been said.

Add another one to it and One becomes Two.

Two is unique to One.

Add One to Two and you get Three.

Three is totally unique from One and Two.

Basic math. So why is it so hard to get uniqueness?

One day 3 bumped into 1. One didn’t like 3 because 3 was too different.

“What’s with all the curves, Three?” One asked.

“It’s better than just being a boring straight up and down line, One.”

1 and 3 began quarreling over which was better…a straight line or curves.

Then along came 2. “I have the best of both of you, a straight line and a curve!”

Three did not like the compromising 2 at all and killed him.

One saw Three kill Two and so killed Three.

All that was left was One.

Tragic because the numbers couldn’t accept the differences in each other. If One had stayed with 3 we could have had Four. If 2 and 3 had gotten along there could have been a Five. So on and so on.

Instead all we have is One.

Imagine the possibilities if we could accept our uniqueness and the differences in others.

Still…each man and woman is different. So break it down even more. All men who play Pac-Man live in Seattle…all men who play War Craft live in Yakima. Get it?

What if we broke it down by races. Each race live in their own territory. Then each territory is broken down by sexual orientation, religious belief, weight, hair color, etc… Eventually we would all be separated by our uniqueness.

Life would be pretty boring being just One.
